The Ruth Ellis Center is positioned uniquely to work strategically with LGBTQ youth of color experiencing systemic barriers to housing, health and wellness in addressing the harmful impact of family rejection and multiple layers of trauma and marginalization. Funding will support targeted strategies to address and reduce faith-based family rejection and the resulting trauma triggers that too often prevent LGBTQ youth of color from participating fully in the workforce and other activities that support independence.
