In 2015, The Palette Fund awarded a two year grant in the amount of $50,000 to support the Safe Haven Project. In 2017, a three year scholarship in the amount of $30,000 was awarded to a talented student to help with future college tuition. 

Thanks to the Safe Haven Project, Rosie’s Theater Kids, students in grades 6-12 and families will continue to attend formal training for LGBT awareness, sensitivity, and inclusiveness. Four student allies will be identified to receive in-depth training and education as LGBT leaders/allies. Interior and exterior signage identify Maravel Arts Center as LGBT-inclusive and provide information about resources for LGBT youth, adults and families.
