In 2014, The Palette Fund granted a three year award for $80,000 to help fund I’m From Driftwood’s Weekly Video Story program, as well as its Resource Packet program. In 2017, a four year grant in the amount of $125,000 was awarded to I'm From Driftwood to continue building on their long term vision.

The weekly Video Stories provide a wide range of first-person stories told from a diverse group of storytellers. In addition to preserving history, the stories increase a sense of belonging within the LGBT community, and increase empathy amongst potential allies. The Resource Packets provide professionals with LGBT clients and patients an educational toolkit on how to use storytelling in their work. The first packet focused on psychologists and family counselors, and the second packet was designed for religious leaders.
