The support of The Palette Fund will enable CAE to continue to support its transformative, cutting-edge program, Community Alliance Against Violence (CAAV). CAAV works to reduce violence in the lives of homeless LGBTQ youth, focusing on relationship violence, interpersonal violence, bias crime, and street harassment.

With Palette's support, they will partner with Ali Forney Center, Sylvia’s Place (MCCNY); Safe Space; and Staten Island LGBTQ Center.  CAAV’s three-pronged approach includes:

(1) Provide 100 multi-session violence prevention, self-defense, and empowerment courses for LGBTQ youth;

(2) Provide 20 training sessions for service providers at LGBTQ youth organizations; and

(3) Create an online resource center for LGBTQ individuals and allies beyond the scope of its partner organizations.
